The Octopus
The octopus does not need a special glamour. It is in itself a magical creature. Look it up in any book, if you doubt.
There is nothing like it in faerie or on earth though I cannot speak of the the stars. We did have a visitor once who spoke of an entire planet of them. Whether he spoke in jest, in ego, or in truth I cannot say. I try not to make those distinctions unless I am researching.
There is much to be made of the idea of octopi being visitors from other planets or the aura of the old gods around them.
The one who lives in the coves under the boat house is a fair ambassador of its’ species to ask such questions. It is the oldest octopus in existence and can vividly remember the tales and songs of old that his mother breathed over him as an egg.
